 Analyze
With program Analyze you can view flight recordings in IGC format. It is written for Pocket PC devices (OS version 3.00 or higher). Program will run on devices with ARM and MIPS microprocessors.

 Is Analyze free?
It was in the past and it will be also in year 2006. Program will run without any limitations until 1st of July 2008. Nobody likes the programs where features are starting to disappear of you will watch annoying messages at different times while using the program.

But from the year 2006 you can support the future development by registering the Analyze. On the other hand this is also a test of how many users would register cheap program which trial period is not over. If you are one of them the information on how to order are posted on Order page.

 Memory card installation
From version 2.00 program Analyze can be installed to the memory card. Now you can install the Analyze program together with Navigator on the same Memory card.

The procedure is the same as for the Navigator. Please check the Navigator Memory Card installation section.

 Short help
Main menu

After you load the IGC file (File - Open... option) you can navigate to different pages to check your flight.

For quick navigation between pages you can also use the arrow keys on the menu bar. Program will circle between pages (map page is an exception). By pressing the button in the middle of the arrow buttons, you will return to the Main menu.

File info

Here you can check all information that is written in the IGC file header. Most interesting would be information about the pilot, plane and flight recorder, which was used to record this flight.

Statistics

Basic flight statistics are displayed here. UTC time is used to display the take off and landing time.

Select task

On this screen you can disable the task declared in the flight recorder. Task statistics will not be displayed and also task will not be plotted on the map. This is useful feature if you were not flying the declared task.

Task statistics

Analyze will check the task and display the basic statistics:

     - task length
     - task duration (if completed)
     - average task speed (if completed)
     - position of each waypoint
     - distance and course between waypoints
     - time and altitude at which the waypoint was turned
     - average leg speed

Sector settings (defined in Settings - Sectors tab) are used to check the task.

Map

On map display you can check the flight path. If you select the task, than it will be plotted on the map. Waypoint, airspaces and elevation map will be displayed if you select appropriate file in the Settings dialog windows - Files tab. The list of supported files is the same as for the Navigator program.

You can zoom in by dragging the pen on the map. The other option is to select the predefined zoom by selecting the icon in the top right corner. One of the predefined zoom values is also Flight, which will change zoom value to display whole flight.

You can change the Zoom to Pan mode by taping on the icon in the top left corner. Now when you will drag the pen across the screen, program will change the map position (and maintain the zoom value).

Map settings

When you press on icon with cog new dialog will pop up.

Here you can change how the reserved airspaces should be shown. You can choose between options hide, show borders and show filled airspaces.

With second button you can select which map should be used. Available options are no map, elevation map or bitmap map.

Bitmap (raster) map

From the version 2.00 you can also use the bitmap maps.

Procedure how to prepare and install bitmap map is the same as for Navigator. Please check the Bitmap (raster) maps section.

You can download several prepared USA maps from the Download page.

Barogram

You can change the scale of the barogram by changing the setting in the combo box in the top right corner.

On the barogram the ENL parameter value is displayed (if recorded in the IGC file) and also the position of the waypoints. UTC time is displayed.

Settings

Settings are similar as in the Navigator program. Most values are shared between the programs. So if you are using the Navigator than most likely you do not have to change anything.
